Ron Williams

Owner and Instructor Boroondara Dog Training

Ron is owned by 3 Shetland Sheepdogs and has owned, bred, shown and trialed Shelties since he bought his first one 40yrs ago.

Ron began training dogs in 1974 and until 2000 was an instructor at a VCA Obedience Dog Training Club. For the last several years to 2000 Ron was a senior instructor and presenter to the trainee instructors.

In 1999 Ron began the Delta Canine Citizen Course in Behavioural Dog Training and in October of that year at the request of Boroondara City Council, and with the help of Sarah Econoumo who he met on the Delta course, formed Boroondara Dog Training.

Since that time Ron and Sarah have help people train over 1000 dogs and run workshops teaching council by-laws officers how to read dog body language and handle dogs. Ron has also run ½ day training days for volunteer dog walkers.

Ron is the owner of his own business, "Creature Comforts" which runs Puppy Pre-Schools from a number of Vet Clinics and also manufactures dog Activity/Agility Equipment.

Ron is a qualified and accredited assessor of dogs for Delta Pet Partner and was a presenter with the government's "Responsible Pet Ownership" Program for five years.

Pam Williams

Pam mans the club's office and is responsible for enrolment forms and equipment sales. Pam is also one of the club's qualified senior first aiders.

Pam is married to Ron and has been owned by Shelties for much of her life; she has assisted with the whelping and rearing of many Sheltie puppies. Pam works as a carer for elderly people when she is not at Boroondara and perhaps most importantly is responsible for the provision of lunch for the trainers every Sunday after classes!
